This blog is part of a project to start a media-access team based in central Wisconsin that can take on a wide range of topics and issues.  The purpose of the team will be to acquire and make available the equipment and know-how to produce a basic level of videos, presentations, written and print media. Emphasis will be on getting the equipment and know-how into the hands of younger people so that they can tell their stories better.

We often hear in the movement that the corporate mass media doesn’t tell our stories, or if they do, they’re framed and spun through the lenses of the ruling class, AKA the 1%.  We have to “be the media” ourselves, we often hear.  This is one project aimed at doing so.

Soon, we’ll be launching an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign to raise the funds for this project.  We have no corporate sponsors, as you could imagine, nor any government money.

Various movements, groups and talented individuals are involved in getting this going, among them 350 Stevens Point people, Wisconsin Green Party,  Wisconsin Tar Sands Action Coalition, people fighting to stop the Penokee Hills Mine, the movement to stop expansion of Enbridge Line 61, and many others.
