Shauna Robinson (5 days ago):
I have to rely on others for rides. I can NOT drive due to medical reasons, therefore, employment is tough and going back to my hometown can be a challenge if I don’t have someone wanting to take a road trip.
Donna Krause (4 days ago):
Agreed. No more standing in freezing cold in the street in front of the snow banks waiting for the bus, or on street corners 20′ from the bus stop, or waiting in business driveways for the bus while hundreds of cars whiz by splashing you with mud, slush, snow & ice. Dangerous too. A slip of the car wheel & a bus rider could be in the hospital! No more walking 8 blocks or more to get to a bus stop in ice and snow sidewalks. More bus stops & more bus shelters are needed! We want safe buses with seat belts & head rests. We want drivers who treat respectfully and care about the safety of their elderly and disabled bus riders. These are musts!

Rib mountain is becoming the main hub of central Wisconsin. I work out there and I had to bike in the middle of winter when my car broke down just to get to work. We all know Walmart and Aldi’s have the best prices on food around here, ik I’m not the only one who is on a budget. This will help out those who are and make Rib mountain bring more income in and be helping out the community at the same time.
Peggy Kohus, Mosinee (4 days ago):
Mass transit should be available for the disabled, students, workers, shoppers to access shopping, clinics, businesses, parks, and events, etc. Rib Mountain, Rothschild, Schofield, Weston should be included in the greater Wausau area. Eventually, Mosinee, Merrill, Marathon City can be added. All communities can contribute to the costs. Clean, efficient service will generate more use. More use will generate more business, more income, more jobs. Great for all!
PS Trolley buses (made in Wisconsin) are used for tourists in Portland, Virginia Beach, Staunton, VA, and other cities across America.
Barbara McCullough (1 week ago):
As a Rib Mountain resident for over 33 years, I have seen the rapid growth and changes in our town. People should have an alternative to transportation, especially with the higher gas prices. It would be more affordable for everyone to have access to public transportation to travel to Rib Mountain.
Lindsay Walters (1 week ago):
I work in rib mountain & sometimes have a hard time getting a ride plus I do a lot of my shopping there & need to get there while my husband is working.
Barbara Stachoviak (1 week ago):
People deserve transportation.
Donna Krause (1 week ago):
In time of tragic climate change, the need for people to reduce their Carbon footprint is essential for present and future life on the planet. Public transportation is a must and not something that should be minimized or ignored. Please public transportation can reduce global warming and it needs to be expanded now.
Amy Litzer (1 week ago):
The purpose of introducing or expanding public transportation is to increase access to and use of public transit while, at the same time, reducing motor vehicle miles driven and traffic congestionThe importance of transportation is that it enables trade, commerce, and communication that establish civilization. It is good planning that manages traffic flows and enables the undisturbed and steady movement from one place to another.
