Health Impacts of Frac-Sand Mining

This will be a series of videos focused on the human and environmental health impacts of frac-sand mining in Wisconsin’s “driftless” or “coulee region” (also extending farther to the north from the usual bounds of that region).

Many of these focus on the work of Dr. Crispin Pierce at UW-Eau Claire, who is doing the work that Wisconsin DNR should be doing, but is not doing, because Wisconsin is “open for business” in their view, and the DNR see their job as being to be a permitting rubber-stamp agency for giant corporations wishing to use Wisconsin land and resources.
