Both the Enbridge tar sands pipeline 61 (already flowing 560,000 barrels a day) and all the frac-sand mining sites in Wisconsin are in the most vulnerable and susceptible groundwater areas.
Yet the Wisconsin DNR continues to lay down and take whatever the frac-sand mining corporations demand they do for them. And regarding Line 61, remember that approval and laying of that pipeline were done under a Democratic administration (Doyle). Tar sands, apparently, have been a bipartisan fixation and fascination in Wisconsin.
